Dave Richter is Managing Director of MedTrust Solutions, an advisory firm serving early stage healthcare companies. He also provides business development services to Iron Range Resources, a Minnesota state agency. Dave has over 25 years of executive experience with an emphasis on introducing new healthcare technologies. As president of a med-tech firm, principal consultant, CEO of an IT firm, and executive with a Fortune 1000 company, Dave’s unique background reflects leadership, creativity, and a commitment to increasing quality and productivity in healthcare. He is the founder and former Chairman and CEO of NaviCare Systems, the disruptive first-mover that led to the creation of a new $250 million healthcare IT market segment. At the Fortune 1000 firm that acquired Navicare, Dave focused on business development and strategic sales. In 2007, Mr. Richter founded MedTrust Solutions to resume his passion for early-stage business development. Previously, he co-founded a consulting firm later sold to an integrated healthcare system, served as president of Dacomed Corporation, a medical device company, and worked at KPMG. At Dacomed, Dave directed strategic alliances, expanded internationally into 20 countries, directed the launch of new therapeutic technologies, and co-founded UroCenters, a medical services company.
Dave received his BS degree from the Carlson School of Management and is a CPA. Companies he led or started have received Minnesota High Technology Council’s Tekne Award, Minnesota Hospital Association’s Innovation of the Year Award, and Minnesota Governor’s Commendation for Sales Export Initiatives.
